Americans love pizza so much that we account for one-third of all the pizzas sold around the world. Forbes.com reports that in less than two decades, per capita pizza consumption has gone up 41%. Pizza has become such an important part of our culture that we don’t ever foresee a time when it will go away.

Kids choose pizza pretty much equally for lunch or dinner. For adults, most pizza consumption is at dinner. About 10% of slices are eaten as snacks, the USDA says.

On any particular day, about 13% of Americans eat pizza, according to the USDA. One in four males between ages 6 and 19 ate it (or will eat it) for breakfast, lunch or dinner today.
