The fastest-growing pizza franchise is making headlines around the nation

Marcos Pizza® franchise team members — Unlike competing pizza chains that have saturated their markets, Marco’s still has prime locations available across the country.

Marco’s Pizza® has been making news all over the country recently for being the fastest-growing pizza franchise in the nation. Most recently, we’ve made headlines in Georgia and Illinois, where we’ve opened new locations.

Local newspapers — The Times of Ottawa, Illinois, and The Henry Daily Herald of the Atlanta metropolitan area — reported that the grand opening ceremonies featured free pizza, a DJ, local merchants, a bounce house for children, and a demonstration from the fire department.

While Marco’s Pizza® certainly knows how to throw a party, we also know how to contribute significantly to our communities. The Henry Daily Herald reported that our grand-opening festivities included a canned food drive for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

The news of our rapid expansion is no surprise; Marco’s Pizza was recently ranked No. 8 on Franchise Times’ annual “Fast & Serious” list for the second year in row. The annual ranking evaluates franchise companies that show strong staying power and sustainable growth over a period of three years.

Marco’s Pizza® recently topped the 600-unit mark, and the company’s goal is to reach 1,000 stores by early 2017.

“The amount of growth we have experienced has been phenomenal,” said Cameron Cummins, Vice President of Franchise Development for Marco’s Pizza®. “A lot of our competitors have been hopping on the artisan pizza bandwagon, but we have been making our pizzas in the homemade Italian style since we opened in 1978. We are still growing in prime markets, which is a direct result of having great products and a leadership team that backs up our franchisees.”

In addition to phenomenal growth in Georgia and Illinois, we recently announced the opening of seven locations in Middle Georgia and plan to open several Marco’s Pizza® franchise locations in major metropolitan areas across the country, including Knoxville, Denver, and Las Vegas in the coming years. Plans also are under way to expand internationally to serve growing demand in India, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in Asia and Africa.
