Marco’s Pizza Franchise on Pace to Open 7 Locations in mid-Georgia by End of Summer

Posted Aug 10th, 2015

Fastest-growing pizza franchise in the nation announces tremendous growth in Middle Georgia for summer of 2015

The Telegraph, Middle Georgia’s source for news, recently reported that the Marco’s Pizza® franchise has opened the first of three locations in the Macon metropolitan area. This news came on the heels of the pizza franchise’s announcement that it plans to open seven new locations in Middle Georgia by the end of the summer of 2015.

Marco’s Pizza was recently ranked No. 8 on the Franchise Times’  annual “Fast & Serious” list for the second year in row. The annual ranking evaluates franchise companies that show strong staying power and sustainable growth over a period of three years.

Entrepreneurs continue to flock to Marco’s for the chance to use Ah!thentic Italian pizza to win customers, and for the opportunity to introduce the brand to new cities by opening multiple locations in prime parts of town.

The expansion of the Marco’s Pizza franchise has been driven in part by customers who tried us, liked us, and decided to start their own.

Marco’s Pizza recently topped the 600-unit mark, and the company’s goal is to reach 1,000 stores by the end of 2016. Plans also are under way to expand internationally to serve growing demand in India, Saudi Arabia and other countries in Asia and Africa.

“The amount of growth we have experienced has been phenomenal,” said Cameron Cummins, Vice President of Franchise Development for Marco’s Pizza. “A lot of our competitors have been hopping on the artisan pizza bandwagon, but we have been making our pizzas in the homemade Italian style since we opened in 1978. We are still growing in prime markets, which is a direct result of having great products and a leadership team that backs up our franchisees.”

Some pizza chains may cut corners and use frozen cheeses and pre-chopped toppings, but not Marco’s Pizza™ franchise. Our cheese is never frozen, and we slice our veggies in our kitchens every day.

The Telegraph reports that all three of Macon-area pizza franchise locations feature a charity night, where members of the Macon community can give back:

“As each store opens, every friends-and-family event will take place 4-7 p.m. with a canned food drive to benefit a local organization and a live radio remote,” The Telegraph reports. “Each store’s grand opening will begin at 10 a.m., and free pizza for a year will be available to the first 100 people in line with a minimum $10 purchase.”

In addition to the phenomenal growth planned for Middle Georgia, Marco’s Pizza® franchise locations in major metropolitan areas across the country, including Knoxville, Denver, and Las Vegas in the coming years.
